Christmas Bedroom Makeover (On A Budget)

Christmas Bedroom Makeover

This is our first year decorating our bedrooms for the holidays and I am more thrilled about this project than any other this season. We’ve never been able to afford it in the past, so this year I decided to cut some corners and see what I could create on a budget with a few simple DIY accents! The first Christmas Bedroom Makeover was our bedroom. I didn’t change my bedding, just simple touches like a red throw blanket (that we already had) and I made simple pillow covers to put on my throw pillows I already use on my bed. I added some simple wreaths we had (one new) and made a fun Subway Art. Read on for the details!

I saw some darling snowflake pillows HERE at Target, and decided to recreate a more simple version instead. You can find my tutorial for the Snowflake Pillow Covers HERE! I did buy this “Noel” lumbar pillow from Target…I just HAD to!

I made this easy burlap Joy Banner for my wreath in about 10 minutes!

And this Christmas Subway Art is one of my favorites because it turned out so much better than I expected!

I created this using the Rhonna Designs app on my iPhone and had it printed in 24×36 at Staples, then mod podged it to a 24×36 blank canvas. You could also use a thick poster board or piece of wood.

I never knew adding some simple holiday cheer to our rooms would change our atmosphere so much. I love walking throughout our home and feeling the cozy embrace of garland and holly berries all around. All I can think is “Why didn’t I do this before??!!!”

Keep an eye out for what I did to my KIDS’ ROOMS to add holiday cheer!!

Absolutely! It’s why I shared it on here. I was a little unsure about copyright laws with Rhonna Designs but I think as long as I’m not selling it I should be ok, right? Hopefully! Haha have fun Risa!
